The newest vehicle line to be made at Ford’s Claycomo plant goes on sale Monday and it targets potential buyers who are computer savvy. Ford launched the Mercury Mariner compact SUV last Fall. Its Hybrid version runs on gasoline and electricity. Linda Perry-Lube, Lincoln-Mercury’s E-Business Manager, says the vehicle is being sold exclusively online. The first Mercury Mariner Hybrid rolls off the Claycomo assembly line October 3rd. 2000 vehicles will be made for the 2006-model year – 4,000 for 2007.
