Family of Kirkwood Cop Killing Suspect says he was Distraught

July 8, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The family of the man suspected of killing a Kirkwood policeman earlier this week says he was upset about the death of his 12-year-old brother. Relatives of Kevin Johnson say they thought police were more interested in arresting him for a parole violation than they were in helping his brother, who died about an hour-and-a-half before the killing of Sergeant William McEntee. Johnson’s brother had a heart condition. He collapsed Tuesday evening and died at a hospital. Johnson’s car has been found, abandoned, in Ferguson. Family members have urged him to surrender.
