White Prepares to Step Down as Chief Justice of Supreme Court

June 28, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

It’s time for the changing of the chief at the State Supreme Court. Ronnie White’s two-year term as Chief Justice ends tomorrow. Michael Wolff moves up to Chief Justice. White has been Missouri’s first Black Chief Justice. He says it turns out to have been a bigger deal than he thought it would be. He thinks his term means some things. White will remain on the Court but he won’t say if he will finish his term as a judge. He’s not up for retention until 2008.
