Behind closed doors, Governor Matt Blunt has signed the $19.2-Billion dollar state budget with the exception of funding for public debt and education and has made line-item vetoes through more than $20-Million worth of what the Legislature passed. Taking the biggest hit from the veto axe were the social services budget at $9-Million and $5-Million from the Economic Development budget. Blunt has held two news conferences this week a third one has been called for tomorrow. No news conference was held to explain the budget details.
