National Guard Coping With Recruiting Concerns

June 22, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri National Guard says the high number of deployments could be costing it in the recruitment arena. The Guard’s Major John Findley says recruitment numbers are at only about half of what was set as a goal and there are only three months left in the counting period. Findley says those numbers were even helped by an uptick in recruiting back people who had gotten out because of previous multiple deployments. Findley admits the rollercoaster of people in and out of the Guard plays havoc on trying to manage the force.
