The idea of moving the Blues from St. Louis to Kansas City is one that former NHL owner Howard Baldwin would like to investigate. Baldwin’s company, Baldwin Entertainment Group, has partnered in the past with Anschutz Entertainment Group, which has put $50-million of its money into Kansas City’s downtown arena.

Baldwin has also owned the Hafrtford Whalers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On Friday, Bill and Nancy Laurie announced that their intention to sell the Blues, but added that they will try to keep the team in St. Louis, if possible. The Laurie’s have reportedly lost $60-million over the last two seasons.
