Five Killed in I-70 Crash Near Columbia

June 20, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Five people have been killed and 11 more have been seriously hurt in the crash of a van with 20 people aboard near Columbia. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 17 of the 20 people in the van were thrown out when it flipped several times in the median of Interstate 70. Nobody was wearing a seatbelt. Few of them had any identification. They were from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, or Long Beach, California. Federal immigration officials are part of the investigation.
