Now it’s Ambassador Wagner. Ann Wagner, who has chaired the Missouri Republican Party since 1999, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to represent the United States as U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg. Wagner, a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, has been active in Republican politics at the state and national level. In addition to becoming Chair of the State Republican Party, Wagner served four years as Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee, leaving that post earlier this year. No word yet on when Wagner will present her credentials and assume the responsibilities at the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg. Senator Jim Talent is among those congratulating Wagner, saying she “is a considerate woman, whose character and abilities uniquely qualify her to represent our nation.”
