MoDOT to Install Lights on Trouble-Plagued St. Louis Area Bridge

June 14, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Transportation Department is going to put lights on a double highway bridge on Highway 370 around St. Charles, so people won’t think they can jump from one set of lanes to another. At least five people have jumped or fallen from the bridge over the Missouri River since it opened 13 years ago. One man is still missing after he tried to jump from one span to another Monday. The lights are being installed so people understand there is nothing between the two bridge spans.
