Governor Matt Blunt vows that during the 2006 legislative session, he will back a proposal to require all gas pumps in the state to contain at least 10-percent ethanol. Blunt says other states have seen such requirements give a real boost to their ethanol plants. Blunt says his administration is committed to the ethanol industry. He points out investors in ethanol plants will be fully paid during next year’s budget, with a quarter of the back payments the state owes investors cleared up.
