Missouri Gets High Grades for Computers in Schools

A national study says Missouri is above average in computer access for students in school classrooms. Education Week magazine says the average Missouri classroom has one computer for every 6.4 students. The national average is 7.6. The gap is even wider when the number of students per Internet-connected computer. Missouri is above average in the percent of schools where at least half the teachers use the internet for instruction and Missouri is even more above average in the category when it applies to schools in high-poverty areas.
