A second man is charged in the lawn mower murder case in Kansas City. A second-degree murder charge has been filed against 19-year-old Robert Simmons in the shooting death of Cortez White. White was the 14 year old boy who borrowed a neighbor’s lawnmower to mow his mother’s yard, but when he took the mower back, the owner accused him of taking it without his permission. The boy was shot and killed later. Last week, prosecutors filed the same charge against 21-year-old Raymone Cunningham.
