The State Democratic Party calls for the removal of the director of one of the biggest agencies in the state. Head of the State Democratic Party, former Governor Roger Wilson, says newly-appointed Social Services Director Gary Sherman should be fired because he is also still teaching at the University of Wyoming. Sherman will be still be employed by the university until August 7th. Wilson believes the nomination of someone who is not available to do the job shows what the Blunt Administration really thinks of the position. Sherman was not available to make a comment to the Missourinet for this story, but a spokesman for the governor says Sherman should not resign and lawmakers who confirmed Sherman should have known he would have to fulfill his teaching duties in Wyoming.
