A proposal to change several parts of Missouri’s casino laws has been talked to death in the State Senate. The proposal backed by Senator Jon Dolan of Lake St. Louis would have limited the number of casinos in Missouri and would have repealed the $500 loss limit. But Senator Victor Callahan of Independence has talked until Dolan had to put the bill aside. He accuses Callahan of reversing his position to opposing removing the loss limits. Callahan says Dolan’s plan was just bad timing. Some lawmakers thinks erasing the loss limits is a key to raising money for the new school foundation formula but Dolan thinks the formula can be funded through current revenues.
