The Department of Economic Development has begun a review of incentives offered by the State and is looking for input from the public on the review process. The Incentives Review Process is a first step toward an evaluation that will be sent to Governor Matt Blunt. Economic Development Spokesman Paul Sloca says businesses and organizations can comment on the proposed review process. But, more importantly, ordinary folks can weigh in. The idea to review what’s working and not working on the incentives front is something the Governor has talked about in the past. The proposed method for evaluating the incentives can be found on the Department’s website at ded.mo.gov. There’s a link allowing anyone wanting to offer an opinion to so. The comment period runs through Friday at 5 p.m.
