The Southwest Missouri St. baseball team is 13 games under .500 this season, but they haven’t played like it against the University of Missouri this season. The Bears up-ended the 17th ranked Tigers in Columbia Tuesday night and it was their second win over MU in a week. Last Tuesday SMS beat MU 2-1 in Springfield.

The Bears led 3-1 before exploding for five runs in the fifth inning to make it 8-1. Catcher Matt Walgarz drove in a run in the fifth. He finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI’s.

Starting pitcher Chris Krawczyck went seven innings and got the win as SMS improved to 15-28 and the Tigers fell to 31-17.
