Mid-Missouri College To Receive FAA Accreditation

May 4, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

A small, central Missouri college is becoming the first one in the state to be certified under a new Federal Aviation Administration training program. The FAA and Linn State Technical College are signing an agreement that would make the school the first one in Missouri to be certified in the agency’s Airway Facilities Collegiate Training Initiative Program. Linn State’s David Phillips says the training includes the basics of electronics and how to work computers into airport operations during a two-year course that will include a summer session working for the FAA. His school is a small two-year college with an enrollment of less than 900 students. Phillips believes the training will give his students a leg up when applying for jobs in the FAA.
