Springfield Cardinals Held To Four Hits In Loss

May 3, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The Springfield Cardinals were handcuffed at the plate on Monday night, losing to the San Antonio Mission 8-0 at Hammons Field, but for a while neither team could get it going on offense. In the sixth inning San Antonio held a 1-0 advantage, when they exploded for seven runs in the eighth inning to put it away.

Ryan Rowland-Smith and reliever Renee Cortez combined for a four-hit shutout of Springfield.
