Gordon Wins Talladega, Two Missouri Natives Finish In Top 10

Jeff Gordon was the winner at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday. Joplin native Jamie McMurray was 5th was the highest finishing Missourian, by taking fifth place. Fenton native Ken Schrader was 8th, St. Louis native Rusty Wallace was 22nd, his brother Mike Wallace was 28th and Carl Edwards of Columbia was 32nd.

McMurray’s performance moved him up five spots in the standings from 15th to 10th. Schrader moved up three spots to 29th, while Rusty Wallace fell three spots to 13th and Edwards dropped six spots to 14th. Mike Wallace, who wasn’t even ranked last week is now 36th.
