The man who has been serving on an interim basis as Missouri’s Fire Marshal has been appointed to the job outright. Governor Matt Blunt has appointed Randy Cole to the post. Cole has served as interim Fire Marshal since the resignation of Bill Farr, who had been Fire Marshal since 1996. Cole is a former Cole County Sheriff’s Deputy who has worked with the State Department of Public Safety since 1986. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
