Good news for Boeing, which might take pressure off its St. Louis operations. Boeing has announced the second $6-Billion order for its new 787 Dreamliner jet. Air India has approved the purchase of 50 Boeing planes. The announcement comes on the heels of Air Canada’s decision to buy Boeing planes. Boeing has been relying heavily on its defense business headquartered in St. Louis since the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks crippled the commercial airline industry.
