Blunt Signs Medicaid, Administrative Law Judge Bills

April 26, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Matt Blunt has signed legislation making cuts to the state’s Medicaid system and changing the retirement system for Administrative Law Judges. On the Medicaid front, the bill signed into law imposes eligibiliby checks and installs safeguards to make sure benefits go only to the truly needy. The legislation dealing with he Administrative Law Judges eliminates the benefits that had been associated with some of the positions. Some individuals who had been appointed to the positions received huge retirement benefits – even though they had only served briefly in those positions.
