April 19, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Mark Mulder showed on Monday night the why the Cardinals gave up three young pitchers to get the lefty. Mulder won his first game in a Cardinal uniform as the Redbirds pounded Pittsburgh 11-1. Mulder gave up just one unearned run on two hits in eight innings. He did now allow a baserunner until the fifth. The Cardinals led 2-1 before putting the game away with nine runs in the top of the ninth. So Taguchi and Roger Cedeno had three RBI apiece. Jim Edmonds hit his fourth home run of the season. The Cardinals have now won four games in a row.
