Lee Strong As Royals Fall To Cleveland

April 19, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Cliff Lee fought flulike symptons and nausea all night against the Royals. All he did was throw seven shutout innings in a 5-1 Cleveland win. Lee gave up two hits and struck out five. Casey Blake and Ben Broussard hit back-to-back home runs for the Indians in the second. Cleveland added three more runs in the fourth. The Royals scored their only run on an RBI groundout by Angel Berroa in the eighth. Zack Greinke took the loss after giving up five runs on 10 hits in five innings. The Royals are a major-league worst 1-6 at home this season.
