The St. Louis Cardinals completed their first sweep of 2005 on Sunday. Scott Rolen’s solo home run in the top of the ninth lifted the Cardinals to a 3-2 win over Milwaukee. Rolen posted his second three-hit game in as many days and brought in all three Cardinal runs. Cardinal hurler Jason Marquis got off to a rocky start. He gave up a leadoff homer to Brady Clark in the first. The Brewers scored again in the second before Marquis settled down. He retired the last 18 batters he faced and got the win after giving up just one earned run in eight innings. Jason Isringhausen picked up his fifth save of the season. It was a special day for Tony LaRussa, who won his 800th game as Cardinal manager.
