Laurie To Leave Mizzou

April 8, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Basketball player Spencer Laurie is transferring from Missouri after the school year is over. No reason has been given for his desire to leave. Injuries cost the sophomore point guard most of the 2004-2005 season. Battling knee and ankle injuries, Laurie played in just seven games, scoring four points and dishing 12 assists.

The Kansas City Star is reporting that Laurie may be headed back to his hometown of Springfield, Missouri to attend Southwest Missouri St, which will become Missouri St. this summer. His younger brother Shane has already committed to SMS.

Shane Laurie was Mr. Show-Me Basketball during his senior year, when he led a nationally ranked Kickapoo High School to the state championship.
