What will be the future of Chiefs guard Will Shields? That appears to be in question. The ten-time Pro-Bowl selection was not at the Chiefs voluntary workout session yesterday. When a reporter from the Kansas City Star reached Shields on the phone and asked him about his absence, Shields told the reporter that “It’s early in the offseason.”
When asked about his future, Shields said he wasn’t at liberty to discuss what he plans to do as far as the 2005 season is concerned. Shields hasn’t missed a single game in his 12-year career with the Chiefs.
