Cardinals Apologize To Rockies For Hagin’s Comments

March 23, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The St. Louis Cardinals officially apologized to the Colorado Rockies for comments Cardinals broadcaster Wayne Hagin made about Rockies first baseman Todd Helton over the weekend. The Rockies accepted the apology and no further action will be taken against Hagin.

Over the weekend Hagin said, in an interview with KSLG radio in St. Louis, that Helton was on “the juice” when Hagin was the Rockies broadcaster. Hagin said Monday that he was referring to supplements, not steroids, when he said “the juice”. Helton responded on Monday by saying that he may consider legal action against Hagin.
