Brown Wins NAIA Crown In KC, Mixed Results For Moberly Teams At NJCAA Tourneys

In Kansas City, John Brown University of Arkansas topped Azusa Pacific University 65-55 to win the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.

At the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Men’s Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, Moberly Area Community college advanced to the winner’s bracket with a 69-66 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College in their opening round game. MACC improved to 28-6 and will face Iowa Western Community College on Wednesday night.

The Moberly Area Community College women are in the post-season as well, but they fell to the loser’s bracket after falling to Central Arizona College 70-56. They play Georgia Perimeter College Wednesday afternoon.
