The struggle about the fate of Terri Schiavo in Florida brings back sad memories for the Busalacchi family in St. Charles. Peter Busalacchi’s daughter, Christine, died 12 years ago after her father won a two-year-long court fight to have her feeding tube removed. He tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Congressional intervention in the Schiavo case is “absurd.” He says people are getting into the discussion who know little about such things. Christine Busalaccchi was in a persistent vegetative state for about six years before she died.
