NASCAR rookie Carl Edwards continues to roll. Edwards swept this weekend’s NASCAR races at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Columbia, Missouri native picked up his first career win on the Nextel Cup circuit on Sunday. Edwards passed leader Jimmie Johnson on the final lap and held on to win the race by just .02 seconds. On Saturday, Edwards won his first Busch Series race. Edwards currently leads the Busch Series standings, and sits in third place in the Nextel Cup Series standings, just 87 points back of Johnson.
