Senate Gives First Round Approval To Medicaid Reform Bill

March 16, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Two days of debate, including an all-night filibuster and 17 hours of discussion have finally produced a proposal to reform Missouri’s medicaid system. The Senate has tentatively approved a plan to kick some people out of the program and leave the possibility that services could be cut or expanded in the hands of legislative appropriations committees. The Senate is expected to send the bill to the House before leaving on spring break tomorrow.
