Oklahoma Knocks Mizzou Out Of Big 12 Tourney

March 12, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Despite erasing a 17-point deficit in the second half, Missouri fell to top-seed Oklahoma 83-79 in the second round of the Big 12 tournament. Missouri actually fought back to take the lead late in the half, but OU battled back and advanced to the tournament semifinals. The Tigers set a tournament record by sinking 91.7 percent of their free throws (33 of 36). Linas Klieza led the way with a career-high 33 points, 17 of which came at the charity stripe. Five Sooners finsihed in double figures. Terrell Everett led OU with 18 points. The Tigers are now 16-16, and will find out on Sunday if they will play in the NIT.
