At the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament in Point Lookout, Missouri the results were mixed for the two Missouri teams. Top-seeded Williams Jewell College of Liberty, Missouri crushed Tennessee Wesleyan 84-57 in their first round game Wednesday night. The Cardinals shot 71 percent from the floor in the first half, to build a 45-32 cushion at the break. Then their defense kicked in, holding TWC to 32 percent shooting in the second half. WJC improved to 31-5 on the season. They’ll face 16th seeded Cedarville (Ohio), which needed double over time to beat Minot State (N.D.) 98-90.

College of the Ozarks found no advantage in home court on Wednesday, as they lost their first-round game to Indiana Institute of Technology 81-76. C of O led 43-40 at the half and led by as many as six points in the second half, but they were their own worst enemy Wednesday, committing 28 turnovers. IIT was able to capitalize and take a lead early on in the second half with a 10-3 run to erase the Bobcats final lead. College of the Ozarks finished the season with a record of 22-9.
