The ninth-seeded Missouri women’s basketball team advanced at the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City Tuesday with a 62-57 win over eighth-seeded Kansas. The game was nip-and-tuck as MU led 34-33 at the half. Mizzou did most of their damage inside the three-point arc, taking just six three pointers on the day, hitting two of them. Junior Christelle N’Garsanet led the Tigers with 19 points and had nine rebounds. Eetisha Riddle had 14 points and eight rebounds, while LaToya Bond scored 12, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists. It was Mizzou’s first win over KU this season The Tigers improved to 11-17 on the season and will face top-seeded Baylor in the quarterfinals at noon Wednesday.
