Moody’s Gives Missouri Favorable Bond Rating

Moody’s Investors Services, a company which helps determine states’ bond ratings, has given Missouri a favorable bond rating. In fact, Missouri will retain its AAA bond rating, meaning bonds issued by the state are judged to be of the highest quality by investors. Governor Blunt says this is a clear indication that this state’s spending practices are headed in the right direction. “recent years” (According to the Moody’s report, the outlook for Missouri is stable, based on expectations that the state’s financial results during the remainder of the curent fiscal year and the early part of 2006 are in line with forecasts.
