The Missouri Tigers ended the regular season with their most impressive victory of the season, a 72-68 defeat of seventh-ranked Kansas. Mizzou built a 43-34 lead at the half and started the second half with a 6-0 run to push their advantage to 15 points. But Kansas was able to chip away at the lead and tied it 64-64 with 3:26 to go in the game. Mizzou responded with a jumper from Jimmy McKinney with 2:07 remaining. The Tigers never trailed again.

Thomas Gardner led MU in scoring with 23 points, while McKinney added 21. Linas Kleiza was just 1-for-8 from the field, but hit 12-of-18 free throws and he pulled down 14 rebounds. On senior night, Jason Conley scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds with two assists. Fellow senior Brian Dailey started the game and was on the floor at the end of the game, as well. The win ended a four game losing streak to the Jayhawks. MU will be the 9th seed in the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City and will face Nebraska on Thursday. Mizzou is 15-15 overall and finished the Big 12 7-9.
