Study Indicates Missouri Has One Of Nation’s Deadliest Highway Systems

March 4, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

A national study says Missouri has the eighth deadliest rural highway system in the nation. The Road Information Program says 3.19 people died for every 100 million miles traveled on Missouri’s rural roads. The national average is 2.72. The State Transportation Department is not surprised by the numbers.
