The SMS men’s basketball team ended their regular season campaign with a 76-68 win on the road against Evansville. Deke Thompson fired away and connected for a career-high 27 points. With the win, SMS improved to 16-11 on the season and finished 10-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference which locked them in to the 5th seed in the MVC Tournament. They’ll take on Northern Iowa in their first game on Saturday. SMS lost both regular season games to the Panthers.
