Missourians Now Eligible For Free Credit Reports

February 28, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Starting March 1st, Missourians will be able get hold of free copies of their credit reports. The availability of credit reports isn’t new. But, Scott Holste with the State Attorney General’s Office says the information will now be available to Missourians free of charge. A recent change in federal law requires the three credit reporting companies to provide the information for free. The change is being phased in gradually across the country. And, now it’s Missouri’s turn. Holste says information from all three companies can be obtained at the same time. The free reports are available to consumers once every twelve months at www.annualcreditreport.com.
