New DNR Chief Hopes To Improve Department’s Image

February 23, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The new Director of the Department of Natural Resources says his agency leaves a bad taste in too many mouths, and Doyle Childers wants to change that. Childers wants his staff to find more ways to work with the public. He also wants more operations to be in the regional and satellite offices, out of Jefferson City. He also wants the agency to do a better job of following up on problems. Childers says it might not convince everyone that everything has been fixed, but he hopes it will convince enough.
