St. Louis Archbishop Apologizes To Victim Of Rape By Priest

February 22, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

A man who was raped at the age of 11 by a Catholic Priest has gotten a written letter of apology from St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke. Crystal City resident Tim Fischer had earlier settled his lawsuit against the archdiocese and said at the time that he wanted an apoloogy. Burke also has offered to meet with Fischer. A lawyer for the archdiocese says the archbishop will be sending letters of apology to about 30 other victims of sexual abuse. The priest in the Fisher case was taken out of the ministry ten years ago. He has since died.
