An effort has been started in Plattsburg to build what is called the world’s smallest unofficial presidential library. Officials with the Atchison County Historical Society want to expand the exhibit they have about David Rice Atchison. Some historians say he was the President of the United States for one day – although the circumstances are under dispute. He later was the Vice President of the United States.
