Six Missouri Drivers In Daytona 500 Field

Missouri will be well represented at Daytona this weekend. Six drivers from the Show-Me State are included in the field of 43. St. Louisian Rusty Wallace has said this will be his final year on the NASCAR circuit. He’ll start the race 36th. Three other drivers from the St. Louis area will take part in the race: Kenny Wallace (21st), Ken Schrader (31st) and Mike Wallace (43rd). Jamie McMurray of Joplin has the best starting position of the Missouri drivers. He’ll begin in 17th place. Carl Edwards of Columbia will take part in his first Daytona 500. He’ll start 27th.
