SMS’ winning streak ended at seven games Tuesday night with a 74-72 overtime loss at Indiana Sate. The Bears overcame an eleven point deficit in the second half and Deke Thompson hit a three pointer with 10 seconds to go in regulation to force the extra period. In overtime Thompson blasted another trey to tie the game at 69, but missed his next two attempts from outside to put SMS in a hole too big to overcome. Sophomore Blake Ahearn led all scorers with 23 points for the Bears, while Thompson added 10. SMS dropped to 14-9 overall and 8-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference, while the Sycamores improved to 10-16 and 5-10.
