Two Dead, Almost 200 Arrests In St. Louis Mardi Gras Celebration

February 7, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Almost 200 arrests, two traffic fatalities, and tons of trash – the results of the Mardi Gras celebration in St. Louis this weekend. Police say 175 of the 196 arrests they made in the Souldard area of St. Louis were for minors possessing alcohol. A motorcycle collision killed a man and his wife from O’Fallon and critically injured the rider of the other motorcycle. In the first hours of cleanup, more than 30 tons of trash had been cleaned out of the area in the first hours of cleanup.
