The SMS Lady Bears seven game winning streak came to an end last night with a heart-breaking 63-61 loss at Evansville Thursday night. With SMS leading 61-60, EU freshman Courtney Felke hit a three pointer from 25 feet away with six-tenths of a second remaining to win it for the Purple Aces. The loss knocks SMS out of a first-place tie with Creighton for the Missouri Valley Conference lead. The Lady Bears are 15-6 on the season with an 8-2 mark in the MVC.
