A group of students from Westminster College in Fulton is in New York City today, visiting the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and a number of Wall Street investment firms to get some first-hand financial experience. The group, made up of about two dozen students, is known as the Blue Blazers. Team member Tim Fry, a business and economics major, says the Blue Blazers have been going strong for almost a decade. The Blue Blazers have been given about $200,000 from their college’s endowment funds and have been investing the money in the stock market. Overall, this year, the Blue Blazers’ total investment portfolio has had a net gain of more than 17-percent.
