Two Former Chiefs’ Assistants Land Jobs

January 25, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Two former Chiefs assistants found jobs on Monday. Kurt Schottenheimer, who was fired by the Packers last week, was hired by the Rams to be their new secondary coach. The Packers gave up 228.9 passing yards per game in Schottenheimer’s only season in Green Bay—that was third-worst in the NFC. He was with Kansas City from 1994-2000, serving as the special teams coach, defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator. Paul Hackett, who engineered KC’s offense from 1993-1997, was hired as the Buccaneers quarterbacks coach on Monday. He resigned his post as the Jets offensive coordinator last week.
