Governor Matt Blunt has announced his choice to become Economic Development Director. The Governor’s nominee is Columbia businessman Greg Steinhoff, vice president of a company that provides specialty phamaceutical products and services to locations in 32 states. Steinhoff realizes the administration’s top priorities include improving the business climate by attracting new businesses and holding onto those already here. To that end, workers’ compensation and litigation reform bills in the Legislature are extremely important. Steinhoff believes the Blunt Administration benefits by having a General Assembly that is like-minded. Steinhoff’s appointment requires Senate confirmation.
